    4rail is a family-owned company based in \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice, dedicated to repairing, renovating, and modernizing rail vehicles. Whether you imagine a modern EC, a locomotive from times long gone,\nor a freight car carrying hundreds of shiny automobiles, none of that is a problem for these pros. The core of their business is repairing, upgrading,\nand maintenance of all types of trains. Their goal has been to uplift the brand communication to current standards. So we set out on the rails to strategy, rebranding, and creating a new website.\n<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Right at the first meeting with Michal Ovsjannikov (CEO of 4RAIL), it was clear that we wouldn\u2019t be able to do it without going to \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice in person. During the two-day workshop, we witnessed various stages of the renovation and how carefully 4RAIL approaches them. We walked through historic carriages from the 20s and 30s, sleeper cars, and saw how sandblasting or precise paint work is done.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    It\u2019s a men\u2019s world<\/h2>\n

    This is the way it is, according to the 4RAIL\u2019s management. And we soon discovered their target personas were all men indeed. With that in mind, we defined the pillars of the brand strategy.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t

    We followed with the analysis of the competitors\u2019 websites and discovered a remarkably monotonous world. Almost all the companies used the same language of colors, with no attempts to stand out. We took a different path. We wanted to let website visitors know that they\u2019ve got something to do with nice guys who understand their craft and business and are not afraid of personal communication.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Koleje a v\u00fdhybky n\u00e1s prov\u00e1zely celou tvorbou. Od prvn\u00edch design\u00e9rsk\u00fdch n\u00e1\u010drt\u016f, p\u0159es wireframy, a\u017e po v\u00fdslednou podobu webu a brandu. Proto je taky na\u0161e design\u00e9rka Vendy vyu\u017eila, jako z\u00e1kladn\u00ed motivy p\u0159i prom\u011bn\u011b loga i dynamick\u00fdch prvk\u016f webdesignu. Zaoblen\u00e9 tvary vych\u00e1zely z \u010d\u00edslice 4\u2028a staly se praktick\u00fdm elementem, pou\u017eiteln\u00fdm nejen online, ale i p\u0159i v\u00fdrob\u011b offline materi\u00e1l\u016f, kter\u00e9 lze vyu\u017e\u00edt na konferenc\u00edch nebo expozic\u00edch.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Let\u2019s keep red<\/h2>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t

    The red color dominated the original brand. Keeping it in the new visual identity was one of the few client\u2019s requirements. We only transformed the brick red to a more vibrant shade.     Dark or light website?<\/h2>\n

That\u2019s why the client was initially also leaning towards the dark blue background. However, we did not advise to do so completely and had to point out the problematic nature of the dark variant. Through joint discussion and shifting of the original proposals, we managed to find a compromise.     A website where you can quickly find what you need. We designed individual pages so potential customers can immediately find the relevant information, and key references, and conclude the visit with a swift inquiry.     Although 4RAIL is a family-owned company, they can prove they\u2019re delivering great jobs. We paid good attention to sharing success stories.
